Add second interface to vSphere 5.5 Appliance

  1. Add interface to Appliance in vSphere and assign correct trunk

2. SSH to Appliance and run (this is one liner)

cp /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth0 /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth1

3. Run to configure eth1

/opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_config_net

Add additional DNS (optional)

4. Exit and apply settings

service network restart
To test, reboot Appliance and make sure it works
